Improving knowledge and care seeking behaviour of young women for sexual and reproductive health in Assam and Madhya Pradesh: Results of the endline community assessment
Ipas Development Foundation

Ipas Development Foundation (IDF) collaborated with the state governments of Assam and Madhya Pradesh to implement a youth-focused intervention in selected districts to improve the care-seeking behavior of young women for sexual and reproductive health (SRH). Adopting a holistic approach, this intervention focused on improving knowledge on SRH among young women; strengthening availability of youth friendly SRH services in the public sector and particularly during the most challenging period of COVID-19 pandemic; and improving service utilization through accompaniment and referral support and leveraging community intermediaries. This endline evaluation study examines the progress and prospects of youth-focused intervention and improving women's knowledge and awareness and practices concerning usage of SRH services even during a pandemic; the study also examines the association between exposure to the intervention and levels of knowledge on SRH.
