Improving care seeking behaviour of young women for sexual and reproductive health in Assam and Madhya Pradesh: Results of the midline community assessment
Ipas Development Foundation

Ipas Development Foundation (IDF) collaborated with the state governments of Assam and Madhya Pradesh to implement a youth-focused intervention in selected districts to improve care-seeking behaviour of young women. Adopting a holistic approach, our intervention focused on improving knowledge on SRH among young women; strengthening availability of youth friendly SRH services in the public sector; and building linkages to bridge the gap between the two through accompaniment support and leveraging community intermediaries. This midline evaluation study examines the progress and prospects of youth-focused intervention in terms of improving women’s knowledge and awareness and practices with regard to usage of SRH services; the study also examines the association between exposure to the intervention and levels of knowledge on SRH.
