Globally, the abortion landscape has been evolving with a major shift towards self-managed abortion. Women prefer their own spaces to conduct abortions instead of the health facility. This study, a pilot and the first of its kind, aimed to capture the journey of self-managed abortion using an individual diary as a tool for data collection. A total of 68 married women from rural areas of two major states of India were included in the study. This comprehensive report offers a thorough and detailed overview of the study and its findings.
